The Minnesota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics-North East District (MAND-NE)encompasses the NE corner of Minnesota, such cities as Duluth, Brainerd, Moose Lake, Cloquet.
The current MAND-NE President is Margaret Hovland.

Hello Food and Nutrition Colleagues and Friends!
This year brings MANY changes to our organization. First of all, our state affiliate is now called the Minnesota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (MAND) in keeping with our national organization name changes. After a discussion with MAND and the other districts, the HLDDA board has decided to change our district name to the Minnesota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics—Northeast district (MAND-NE). This describes our district from a geographic standpoint and aligns with what the other districts are named (MAND—NW,SC, SE, and TC). Don’t worry, for all of us that out of habit continue to use HLDDA (along with ADA and MDA), we will know what you mean!
On the technology front, MAND and the 5 districts will be utilizing the Internet to offer substantially MORE continuing education opportunities to everyone throughout the state. Any member can now go to a website to sign in and view other districts’ programs. Cost will be $25 per computer connection with a portion going to the district providing the CE. This will be a great way to benefit from quality speakers in a convenient and economical way and allows the districts to benefit monetarily by offering their programs to more viewers.
