Obesity and eating disorders are both prevalent in adolescents.  And while obesity and eating disorders are usually seen as very different problems, they actually share many similarities. In fact, eating disorders, obesity, and other weight-related disorders may overlap as adolescents move from one problem, such as unhealthy dieting, to another, such as obesity.  Fortunately, it seems there are common pathways for the prevention- and treatment- of obesity and eating disorders as well.  Come join us to learn about evidence-informed tools to identify behaviors that predispose young people to both obesity and eating disorders and provide guidance for nutrition professionals about obesity and eating disorder prevention messages.
